Mount Rushmore National Memorial
In 1927, sculptor Gutzon Borglum began his colossal sculpture of four leaders carved into Mount Rushmore - George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln. They represent the first 150 years of American History.
