Birth place of Thomas A. Edison, Milan, Ohio.

Thomas Alva Edison was born in Milan, Ohio on February 11, 1847.  He went on to become the greatest inventor the world has ever known.  He was named "Man of the Millennium" by Life magazine and in 2012 he was selected to represent the stae of Ohio in the National Statuary Hall in Washington, D.C..

The Firelands Postcard Club meets the 3rd Tuesday of the month at the Erie County Senior Center, 620 E. Water Street., Sandusky, Ohio 44870.  Private sales and trading begin at 6:30 p.m. followed by presentations and members auction.  Join the fun.  Members also collect memorabilia, souvenirs, ephemera and photos.
