Wyoming - Sheridan, X. L. Motel
While here, we stopped at the X. L. Motel in Down-town Sheridan, Wyoming, and found the height of modern comfort in the heart of the Old West. Located at the foot of the beautiful Big Horn Mountains, it's within easy driving distance of the historic Custer Battlefield and Crow Indian reservation. Recommend by Duncan Hines.

Mammoth Hot Springs is a large complex of hot springs on a hill of travertine in Yellowstone National Park. It was created over thousands of years as hot water from the spring cooled and deposited calcium carbonate (over two tons flow into Mammoth each day in a solution).

There are one of these elk-antler arches at each corner of the park. The horns are collected from the nearby National Elk Refuge by Boy Scouts and the arches are periodically rebuilt by the Jackson Hole Rotary Club.
