"Shrine of Democracy"

The Mount Rushmore National Memorial where the busts of four great American leaders - George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt - are sculpted in heroic proportions is the largest monument ever conceived and excited by man. The late famous sculptor, Gutzon Borglum did this marvelous work on this mountain of solid granite, 6000 feet high.
