Truman's Little White House

Built in 1890 as the first officer's quarters on the naval station, Truman spent 175 days here during his presidency, giving the residency the title of "Winter White House." The converted "Little White House" served as temporary quarters for both President Dwight Eisenhower and John Kennedy during their respective presidencies.
