Tower of London Poppies
"The Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red"
An extract from the poem by an unknown soldier, inspired the artist Paul Cummings MBE and designer Tom Piper MBE to display 888,246 ceramic poppies at the Tower of London. One for every British and Commonwealth Soldier killed in the Great War.
"We will remember them".
Photographers: Geoff & Margaret Grist and Tony & Bronwyn Moore
The sender writes: I visited this awesome installation last year and stood and stared at it along with 100's of other people from many countries. The artist came up with an amazing idea I think.
