Washington D.C. - Ford's Theatre, Where Lincoln Died

President Abraham Lincoln lay dying in Willie Clark's small room through the night of April 14, 1865.  Surrounded by his family and members of the Cabinet, he died at 7:22 a.m. on April 15, 1865.  Secretary of War Edwin M. Stanton said, "Now he belongs to the ages."
