Sunset over Boulder Dam (now called Hoover Dam)
Sunset at Boulder Dam as seen from the Arizona side of the Canyon looking toward the upstream face of the dam where the water in Lake Mead is normally 530 feet deep. Seeing this great Bureau of Reclamation project at sunset is an experience never to be forgotten, when the soft afterglow of the setting sun splashes the sky with myriads of colors; and down in the canyon, lights begin to appear outlining the path of the highway across the dam, and lighting the intake towers which in turn are reflected in the lake.
