Mubarak Mahal, meaning the 'Auspicious Palace', was built in 1990 by Maharaja Madho Singh II as a reception center. It is now a museum, mostly known for its variety of textiles such as the royal formal costumes, sanganeri block prints, embroidered shawls and silk saris. One of the displays to see here is the set of very large clothes worn by Sawai Madhosingh I, who was two metres (6.6 feet) tall and weighed 250 kilograms (550 pounds).
