Beaver Pond, Mount Hood Oregon
At 11,245-feet, Mount Hood is the highest mountain in Oregon and the fourth highest in the Cascade Range. Its base spreads over 92 miles and twelve glaciers are located among its peak. The last minor eruption of Mount Hood occurred in 1903 and although it is currently considered a dormant volcano it is expected to erupt again in the future.
