New Mexico - The Museum of Natural History and Science

New Mexico's Ice Age
Twelve thousand years ago, saber-toothed cats and dire wolves hunted bison and mammoths in a wetter, cooler southern New Mexico.  Glaciers sculpted mountain peaks as far south as Sierra Blanca (mural by Kent Pendleton).

The New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science is located in Albuquerque, New Mexico and was founded in 1986.

The Museum's permanent exhibit halls are as follows:

Origins
Dawn of the Dinosaurs
Jurassic Super Giants
New Mexico's Seacoast
Age of Volcanoes
Evolving Grasslands
Cave Experience
New Mexico's Ice Age

Other permanent exhibits include a planetarium and two floors of exhibit galleries dedicated to astronomy and space exploration.
