World's Largest Holstein
at New Salem, North Dakota

38 feet high - 50 feet long
Weights 12,000 pounds

Constructed of reinforced plastic fiberglass this giant reproduction of a Holstein cow is located on a hill at New Salem, North Dakota and is visible for miles to ravelers on Interstate 94.

The sender wrote that the cows name is "Salem Sue".

Salem Sue was built in 1974 for $40,000. The project was sponsored by the New Salem Lions Club in honor of the local dairy farming industry.
