Cedar First Ward L. D. S. Chapel, Cedar City, Utah
The L.D.S. Chapel in the First Ward of Cedar City was erected in 1931 and was dedicated May 27, 1934. It is constructed of stones of many colors, gathered in and around Cedar City. The interior wood work, including the pews, is of native red cedar.
The carpets are all home made of wool raised in the community. The light fixtures are hand made. Thousands of Tourists visit this chapel each year. All are impressed with this unique chapel and its beautiful oil painting in the baptistery.
