Ähtäri is a town and municipality of Finland. It has a population of approximately 6,533 and covers an area of 909.97 square kilometres (351.34 sq mi) of which 105.06 km2 (40.56 sq mi) is water.
Ähtäri is known for tourism. There is a zoo and hotel Mesikämmen designed which is partly built within bedrock. The biggest lake in the area is Ähtärinjärvi.
The sender writes that they also have a couple hundred lakes and ponds, beautiful nature, wildlife park, spa, golf course and an art centre.
